Veggie in Kauai

People think being Veggie in US is difficult. I don't think so! If you want to explore cusines other that Indian, there are tonnes of option. My trip to Kauai was best example. There are no Indian resturants in Kauai, which was quite surprising. But to my surprise, most of the restaurants had veggie options.

It lists most of the resturants that serves vegetarin dishes. Bela and I liked Kauai Pasta and Pacific Island Bistro best among the lot. Kauai Pasta has the best Pasta in town. We did not like the Lasange though! Pacific Island Bistro(Thai) has good taste but quantity is less compared to price. By default they put egg in veggie dishes, so if you don't want egg, specify clearly. Pizza shack inside coconunt marketplace is another gem. Prices are much less comared to PizzaHut and the they will customize Pizza/Pasta/Lasagna to your taste.

Another good restaurant was Coco cafe. It has lot of Hawaiian veggies to try. They also have samosas, which was more like Indian puff than the actual samosas!

The place is awesome and a must visit for everybody!

Hawaii Trip

It had been one and a half year since me and my wife went on vacation. I guess the wait was worth it. Our trip to Kauai (Hawaii) in Christmas 2009 was way beyond my expectations and perfect to get away from work, relax and enjoy. We spent 6 days on the island. It was not long enough to get bored and not short enough to long for it. Great sunshine, beaches, waterfalls, the whole place was different.
I would recommend the place to anybody who wants to get away and relax in a different world.

Al Italia

Italian national carrier Al Italia is up for sale and nobody is ready to buy it. Why would I care? I got tempted to write about this, because I had a really bad experience with Al Italia. Here are few of them -

• The air-hostesses had a sense of attitude all over their face. Not one, but all of them!


• They woke up me up just to say that they have the vegetarian food for me and brought it after almost half n hour.


• The senior air-hostesses started scolding juniors in front of passengers.


• A lady requested milk powder for her kid and air hostesses asked her to help herself.

To be honest, I won't ever fly with Al Italia again and would not recommend to anybody either. Lets see if somebody agrees to buy it!!!
